Sydney Stuart has been practicing law for over three decades and has been handling family law cases exclusively since 2007. Sydney is a nationally certified Child Welfare Specialist and will always fight for the best interests of your children. She is an experienced mediator as well as litigator, and understands that families are still families, even after a divorce. To that end, she works to salvage and preserve family relationships whenever possible. That said, Sydney also is well-aware that all situations are not ideal, and she will aggressively take necessary measures to keep you and your assets safe and protected.

Sydney received her undergraduate degree from Randolph-Macon Woman’s College in Lynchburg, Virginia, and her law degree from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law in Dallas, Texas. She has been awarded for her work with victims of domestic violence and serves on the Board of Directors for Oasis. She is licensed in Texas and is preparing to sit for the Louisiana Bar. Sydney enjoyed practice for thirty-five years in Dallas and Austin, Texas, before joining her husband, Ted, in Lake Charles. She is devoted to her two children, Harlin and Campbell, and visits them whenever possible in San Antonio and New York. Sydney enjoys guitar, piano, lake life, snow skiing, hiking, travel and performing arts.
