Biography
Randy, is a past Chairman of the Family Courts Committee for the Louisiana State Bar Association and the American Bar Association Family Courts Committee. He assisted in bringing a system of Family Courts to the State of Louisiana, which focuses on the needs of the families and children with the support and social services necessary to assist these children and families. He was appointed to Chair the Supreme Court Committee on Unified Rules in an effort to promulgate a set of Family Court and Juvenile Rules, which would support the structure of the Family Court system, and also meet the unique needs of these families and children in crisis in Family Court. Randy received the Louisiana State Bar Association Pro Bono Award in 1998, and has been a guest lecturer at McNeese State University, Louisiana State University Law School, Loyola Law School, American Bar Association, and the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts CLE Seminars. He has served as Chairman, Vice-Chairman and Secretary, and Treasurer of the Louisiana State Bar Association Family Law Section. He served as a member of the CLE Committee of the Family Law Specialization Board. He was a Co-Founder of the Whistle Stop Supervised Visitation Center. He currently serves on the 14th Judicial District Court Family Court Rules Committee.
Randy was born in Brooklyn, New York, on May 8, 1953. He has three children Leah, Rachel, and Jonathan. He is an active member of Temple Sinai. He enjoys the arts, travel, golf and gardening.
